I am my house

This series came to me as all the good things come in life … unexpectedly, as a way of emotional and organic reconstruction following the earthquakes that occurred on September 7 and 19, 2017 that devastated the Isthmus region, in Oaxaca and other towns of Mexico. In this series, he tries to repopulate, through these drawings, the imaginary of my people from Juchitán and the surrounding towns of the Isthmus. Also, these pieces are images of my own house, of my mother’s house or of other houses that were also destroyed. In this series appear sculptural objects that reuse pieces of walls, rods and constructive processes in order to materialize the fundamental idea of this series: the symbolic or alchemical reconstruction, the memory and the material and social devastation stripped in one of the expressions of the nature and that places us again in our as fragile as resilient dimension that we have as participants of this world.
