Foreigners

In my visits to the German community in Belgium, in the corner of the 3 borders, I observed and felt that it is a poetic frontier, an open border, which offers opportunities that, unfortunately, are not seen in other borders of the world.
My interest in painting this series of medium format works was a way of understanding through the observation of cultural, environmental, linguistic, idiosyncratic and human expressions inside and outside the territory. From my vision, of course, as a foreigner, it was very interesting to participate in this form of coexistence that I have named «Foreigner».
This «Foreigner», allowed me to assimilate in my work the almost normal flow of languages, food, customs, advertisements, publicity, articles and other mixed forms especially among the German, Dutch, French and Belgian culture.
